During our meeting we shared last year’s highlights and welcomed five new Board members: Emanuel DeJesus,  Owner Furman’s Coffee, Mustapha Ndanuasa of Al-Taqwa Mosque; Dr. Kim Best of DSNY; Joan Nicome-Gould of D’Kalabash Restaurant and  Melissa Cohen of Modern MD.

Nearly one month into the new year, we are ready for the exciting new opportunities such as: stronger community partnerships through community conversations and events, the expansion of Bigbelly program throughout our boundaries, the launch of the Street Banner program to help merchants market their brands, the expansion of BID Watch Services, and hosting our first Madame C.J. Walker Leadership Awards event to honor our phenomenal Bed-Stuy BID Beauty Collective.

Business is booming along our commercial and cultural corridors and we are looking forward to build on that momentum.
